Brock gets a ham bone....  Brock is now in our administrative offices being taken care of by our administrative staff under Dr. Westbrook's supervision.

So far, we have raised over $1,000.00 in online donations and over $500.00 in counter donations.

Brock will be on WSFA today!  He's becoming a celebrity puppy.  Not bad considering his spend the first 6 months of his life under a house!

Brock got to come back to the shelter yesterday!  This morning he played fetch in the play yard.

Brock is doing better.  According to Dr. Westbrook, he's not out of the woods, but he is able to go outside and potty and even wants to play a little.  He's also eating well.

Dr. Westbrook sent me these images of the actual mites that were on Brock.  These are the Demodex mites that cause demodectic (red) mange.

Visited Brock about an hour ago.  He is doing better.  He has been walking more and has a good appetite.  He may be released from Carmichael Road Animal Clinic this Friday.

I visited Brock this afternoon.  When I got there, I was a bit worried because he was just curled up in a ball.
Then, I went into his kennel and he perked up.  He started eating his chicken that the staff had put down for him.
After that, he ate some of his canned food.

An easy way to donate online...  Just put Brock in the Pet's Name box.

Brock Update...

Dr. Westbrook called yesterday and said that Brock is doing "OK."  He was treated for hookworms and roundworms.  He is still being kept at Carmichael Road Animal Clinic, Montgomery, Alabama.  Dr. Westbrook said that the passing of all of these worms can be dangerous and lead to bleeding so he is keeping him at the clinic for observation.  He will get another medicated bath Monday morning.  THANK YOU (YES I AM SHOUTING) TO ALL OF THOSE WHO HAVE CONTRIBUTED!!!  We can't save them all, but we can do our best to save one.  Call the Montgomery Humane Society 334-409-0622 to contribute to the "Brock Medical Treatment Fund."

This is Brock after the fleas were removed.  He wouldn't eat the treats, but he scarfed down a couple of cans of donated dog food (which we always need!).
